A family of Sarus cranes nesting, and feeding in the wetlands along the Mekong. Sarus cranes rely on wetlands and marshes to survive. Climate change is drying out their natural habitat, dwindling fish stocks and pesticides from surrounding rice fields are endangering their already vulnerable existence. It is estimated that only 1,000 Sarus cranes remain in wild.
